The Town of Matthews is governed by a five member Town Council. Town Council meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month at 7 PM at Town Hall, 816 S. Wisconsin Avenue. The public is given an opportunity to speak at every meeting for three minutes each. A sign up sheet is located at the door before every meeting if you would like to address the Council. The Town Office is open before each meeting between 5:30 and 6:45 PM
President David White
David has served on the Council since January of 1996. David is currently the liaison over the police department.
Vice President Dennis Kendall
Dennis has served on the council since October of 2020. Dennis is currently the liaison over the street department.
Council Member Jeremiah Freehan
Jeremiah has served on the council since October of 2020. Jeremiah is the liaison overseeing the sewer department.
Council Member Rick Cobb
Rick is currently the liaison to the Fire Department.
Council Member Josh Courtney
Connie Cobb Clerk/Treasurer
Connie has served as clerk/treasurer since December 2021. Connie also serves as the towns sewer clerk as well.
Police Department Chet Johnson
Chet has served Matthew as the Town Marshall since January 2016.
